The Fringed Look
The Fringed look is a piece of clothing that comes and goes from season to season. Fringes are ornamental textile trim applied to the edge of a textile item and to the edge of clothing. Fringes are usually sometimes associated with a western look. Sometimes wearing fringes can have a retro old school vibe. But you can style it with different current accessories and other pieces to make it look a bit more modern. The thing is not everyone likes a modern look so if you like a more retro look then fringes might be for you.
The fringe look is a look that is very trendy. So if you don't like trends this look may not be for you. But if you don't mind a trend here and there then perhaps fringes could be for you. During the winter season especially in NYC like now I love an oversized fringed cardigan sweater which I use as a layering piece. It is a go to that I throw on every winter especially during the month of January and February when it is extremely cold outside. The fringed oversized cardigan is very warm and cozy. So it is something that I don't need to re-buy I just bring out my previous season fringed oversized cardigan every time January and February rolls around.
The fringe look is not trending right now. But it could be in a future season. So if you live in a climate like NYC where the temperatures are frigid now then maybe a fringed oversized cardigan may be something to try out and you can layer over and underneath it.
