How To Guide For: Anonymous And Confidential Job Postings --Why Is This Necessary? Do They Work?

Anonymous job postings are usually posted by executive search firms, staffing agencies and recruiters to protect their clients identity. There are many reasons the job is posted anonymously for example with an executive search firm their client could be replacing a high level executive at a public company and they don't want this information getting around. This information when released to the general public would be bad for the company. With staffing agencies and temp agencies from what I've been told they tend to collect resumes and go through them when they need to fill a role later on down the line. Anonymous and confidential job postings helps the candidate if they are currently employed because if the company is posting anonymously chances are they won't risk letting it get out that you applied.
