But it is worth it because you know that you are getting quality items that will last you for a very long time that you can re-wear over and over again for years to come. Sustainable is much better for the planet and environment than fast fashion.
So financially buying sustainably will help you buy less and since you know you spent a lot of money on an item you're probably more likely to keep it for a longer time instead of throwing it out because it fell apart after a few wears or because it was so cheap. If you think about it, it will even out because with fast fashion you are constantly having to buy more and more of it. Even though it is cheap you are buying a large quantity of it which adds up. With sustainable fashion you may buy one item that is the equivalent of several items at a fast fashion chain. But your sustainable item will outlive and outlast your fast fashion item.
