Google X is launching a cybersecurity company called Chronicle

The Verge ---------- As of today, there’s a new company under the Alphabet banner: Google X announced a new spinoff focusing entirely on cybersecurity, dubbed Chronicle.Billed by Google X chief Astro Teller as a “digital immune system,” Chronicle focuses on detecting threats by analyzing and storing security-related data within large enterprises. Using Google’s infrastructure, the company claims to be able to detect threats faster and at a broader scale than existing systems, which is potentially the key to stopping hacks early.
