Group fitness is described as exercise performed by a group of individuals led by an instructor. Group exercise can be aerobics, dance choreographed to music, Pilates, Yoga, muscle conditioning, step, indoor cycling, kickboxing, sculpting and boot camp just to name a few. Group fitness has many benefits. One of the benefits I find from participating in group fitness is that it helps create and build a community. Like when I participate in group fitness I end up seeing a lot of the same people which helps to keep me motivated to want to come back since I get to know these people from working out with them on a regular basis.
