Wearing The Pleated Look During The Fall & Winter Seasons
A pleat is a crease or a fold in cloth made by doubling material over on itself. You can wear a pleated look everyday of the week. You can wear pleats during the day to work, or a day function or you can wear a pleated look during the evening after work to dinner, on a date or an evening function. Pleats is one of those of looks that will never go out of style. It could change from time to time or season to season but it never completely goes away.
Anyone can wear a pleated look but you want to be careful not to overdo it. I thought now I'd take a look at the pleated look since the fall is coming and then winter. I find the pleated skirt or dress look works perfect in the fall with a blazer or jeans jacket and pumps or slingbacks or slides or mules and or flats and during the winter it looks really great with shoe boots and a nice wool jacket or coat.
The good thing with a pleated skirt is that you can't really go wrong when it comes to blouses or shoes or bags. The pleated skirt can work with lots of tops/blouses and shoes and bags. It all depends on your style and what you want to pair with the pleated skirt. If it's your first time wearing pleats maybe pairing a pleated top with a pleated skirt might not be a good idea. You want to start small one pleated piece at a time. But if you're feeling bold and feel like you want to try an all pleated look then I say go for it. If you like and love it then why not.
Since fall is a few weeks away I thought I'd put together some cute, comfortable end of summer, early fall and early winter pleated looks. Below are some pleated looks worth trying out now and transitioning into the fall and then wearing in the winter as well.
