Tesla penalized for violating hazardous waste law at California factory

The Verge ---------- Tesla has reached a settlement with the Environmental Protection Agency over hazardous waste violations that were discovered at the company’s factory in Fremont, California. Tesla has agreed to pay a $31,000 penalty, and, as part of the settlement, it will also buy $55,000 worth of emergency response equipment for the Fremont Fire Department.
