A Look At Some Suede Pieces
Suede is a type of leather that is usually used for shoes, bags, jackets, gloves, hats and other items that you probably use regularly. Suede is generally very soft and thin. So it may not be ideal for the really cold season especially when the weather gets in the 40s and below like it is now in NYC.
As it gets colder there is a possibility of snow so you definitely don't want to be wearing suede when it's snowing outside. Suede jackets or shoes or bags or anything else made of suede shouldn't be worn when it's raining outside either. You never want to get suede wet. When suede gets wet it can become very stiff.
When a suede piece gets wet that doesn't necessarily mean it's destroyed. You will probably want to wait for it to completely dry off and then begin the cleaning process to restore it back to looking like new.
