Yahoo To Be Renamed Altaba And Marissa Mayer To Leave Board After Verizon Deal

Yahoo Inc. said Monday that it would change its name to Altaba Inc. and Marissa Mayer Yahoo's CEO, co-founder David Filo and four other directors who are currently on the company's board will resign after the closing of the Verizon Communications Inc deal. According to Reuters -- the remaining directors will govern Altaba, a holding company whose primary assets will be a 15 percent stake in Chinese e-commerce company Alibaba Group Holding Ltd (BABA.N) and 35.5 percent stake in Yahoo Japan.
