You may forget that you need to keep in mind some real life situations that could keep you from actually owning a home. This post is to discuss warning signs that you should be aware of that tell you that you're not ready to buy. The first warning sign that you're not ready to buy a home is money--meaning you don't have enough money saved up and you currently don't make enough money. If you cannot meet the down payment amount when it comes to purchasing the home then you're definitely not ready. The down payment is just the beginning you want to make sure you have enough saved up not just for the down payment but just in case an emergency repair comes up. You can't predict what will happen once you are in the process of purchasing the home. Something in the home may break or fall apart unexpectedly. So it's best to have more than enough saved so you can handle any emergency repairs that come up. If you don't have that, then you're not ready to buy a home.
