If you are thinking about obtaining a Financial Advisor and are not sure how to select one or what they do let me explain it to you. A Financial Advisor is someone who provides financial advice or guidance to customers for a fee. Financial Advisors provide investment management services, estate planning services, benefits and retirement services and many other financial related services. When selecting a Financial Advisor the most important thing to look for is that he or she is licensed with one or all of the following a Series 7 which is a prerequisite for the series 63, series 65 and series 66 license. Make sure to check his or her credentials to make sure the person is legit before you enter into any kind of financial related discussion. Credentials also help verify that the person has experience. These are just some of the things that you should be looking for when selecting a Financial Advisor. Having a Financial Advisor is an investment that I think is definitely worth having.
