How To Guide For: A Look At Why Fewer Women Are Getting Married & Why Women Are Getting Married

This is a follow-up to my post from yesterday about how to explain to someone that they are not invited to your wedding. I noticed that lately every time I run into someone that I haven't seen in a long time the first thing I get asked is if I am seeing someone or engaged or do I have children. I admit at first it used to bother me a lot. But now I feel really great about myself, I am just mentally, physically and emotionally in a great place in my life. I used to feel like I needed to explain myself to people about why I was still single. But I realized I don't owe anyone an explanation. I just am single and happily so. I am not single because I can't find someone, but I am single by choice. I just wanted to tell women who are in the same boat as me that being single is not the end of the world. There are career goals that I am working towards and other things in life I am working on achieving. I fill my time working on the things that I love and I fill my time with family and great friends. I was reading Rachel Zoe's-The Zoe Report and I loved the blog post she did-Thanks girl. So I thought I'd take a look at why fewer women are getting married and why women are getting married later in life. The biggest reason is today's woman is very independent and she doesn't need society to tell her when she should get married and when she should have a baby. Another big reason is that now more and more women are going to school and getting their education-with college educated women we are eager to get out their in the working world and establish a career for ourselves.
