SEC pauses Telegram's $1.7b cryptocurrency play
ZDNET ----------- Secure messaging app Telegram has had its cryptocurrency play paused by the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), alleging the token offering was unregistered. The SEC on Friday filed an emergency action and obtained temporary restraining order against Telegram and a related entity regarding the initial coin offering (ICO).
