How To Guide For: A Look At Self Driving Cars -- Are They Safe
An autonomous car (driver-less car, self-driving car, robotic car) is a vehicle that is capable of sensing its environment and navigating without human input. Autonomous cars can detect surroundings using a variety of techniques such as radar, GPS and computer vision. Uber launched their first self driving car in August 2016 in Pittsburgh, with human supervision. Google also has a self-driving car. Tesla has an Autopilot self-driving car. Pretty soon the self driving cars will be everywhere. But the question is are they safe. So far Google's self driving car crash, has landed the test driver in the hospital. The Tesla self-driving car has also had a crash, which killed the driver. Some reports say that the cars labeled self driving, drive less and Autopilot are misleading and dangerous because they aren't completely driver less. Other reports say it's soon to say whether the self driving cars are completely safe. I'll let you decide, what do you think.
